In need of prayer, please

Hi to all my brothers and sisters in Christ, I really hesitated about asking for prayer because I don’t want to be selfish. I had a very invasive neck surgery in June. I am still in severe pain, my surgeon basically blew off my concerns at my first post op appt July 11th. I have had this surgery once before and know how it should feel. With this latest surgery, I’m in so much pain that I still cannot drive, I ran out of leave time for work, my employer made me quit my job, I can barely sleep or function. I have been praying so much for God to help me. I just break down and cry from pain and frustration. I’m just asking for anybody to please pray that my surgeon or SOMEBODY in the medical field figures out what is wrong and that my surgeon helps me at my next appointment in a week and that God helps this physical pain diminish. Thank you so much and truly, God bless all of you.

Loving Heavenly Father

As the Great Physician, and in an odd way, I’d like to add the Great Chiropractor, You have healed many and even when Your grace is sufficient, You will still heal those of us who desperately need the relief. You’ve healed me many times, or at least taken the pain away for me to function and it stayed away. Granted something else usually pops up, but we talk about that when it happens. In this case, I’m begging You to take the pain from Teri’s neck from her and to please correct whatever isn’t so in her neck for her to just live a normal life. I know, I know, “What’s normal to you may not be normal to her, Jon.”

I get that, but normal in the sense she feels no more pain. I pray this would be to You equally important as bringing people to Jesus through our depiction of how essential it is to have Him in our lives. To be able to walk freely and sit and lay without the continual reminder of something gone wrong that needed fixing. You’re the only one who fixes anything. Humans, we just put bandaids on the ouchies till we receive our glorified bodies.

Please bless Teri with Your mercy and relieve her of the pain she feels in her neck. If it is You will that a specialist, surgeon, or even a talking donkey can figure out what is wrong and not only identify but FIX the problem? Well Your will be done. If You would bless her with the supernatural power of just touching her and plucking what ails and afflicts her, Praise You O’ Lord and You will be done.

She has an appointment next week and I pray she will be healed by Your mercy and grace before then. She lives in Montana y’know? Not that that is significant but it’s beautiful country and it’s a shame to live in it with such pain that drives you away from experiencing the splendor of Your creativity. But mainly we’re focused on having the pain no longer in her.

We pray this in Jesus’ name
Amen

Thank you to everybody who is praying for me. Last night was the first night that the pain eased up enough that it didn’t feel like knives were continously going through my neck and between my shoulder blades!! PRAISE GOD!!! Still really sore and some pain, but my goodness, your prayers helped so much!! Thank you, God and thank you to all of you wonderful people who prayed with me! Now, I just need to heal enough to reapply for work. I can’t thank you all enough! Love to all of you and God bless all of you!

Hey Teri @NHLPENS,

I’m glad you got some relief and I’m sorry you’ve been through so much with this surgery. It’s a whole different kind of pain when your doctor refuses to acknowledge your pain. Like pouring salt on a wound, but worse. :butgod: He is sooo good to us. I’m grateful He listens— and He has/uses His power to heal!

Father in Heaven,
Thank You for answering prayers and helping Teri. Please keep Your healing hands on her as she recovers from surgery. Please open the eyes and heart of her surgeon; give them wisdom and compassion, and the desire to do whatever they can to ensure Teri’s good health.

Please bless Teri’s resources too Lord. Cause insurance to pay everything possible and Teri’s money to go as far as possible while she gets another job or her old job back. Please also bless all of Teri’s family and friends— first that they might know Your salvation, and second that they be there to support her while she recovers.

We thank You for Your mercy and grace Lord. We ask You to open hearts to receive the salvation that Your only begotten Son purchased with His precious blood on the cross at Calvary. May His Name be lifted high on the earth and in the heavens forevermore! In His mighty Name we praise You and pray. Thank You Lord. Amen.

Hi Teri,
I am so sorry that you are going through all of this pain and suffering right now. Please know that I am praying for you along with all the other sisters and brothers on this forum.
I had major neck surgery a year ago, total fusion of my neck from C-2 to T-2, and I remember the absolute pain that I had when I came home. I am not sure if you are experiencing the same thing I experienced, but I had severe muscle spasms to my neck and shoulders and the medication for the muscle spasms that they sent me home on did not work. (My brother was staying with me during my initial recovery, and he was crying with me.) I called my surgeon and asked if they could order something else and they did…it worked much better, along with continuing to use ice packs to my shoulders and neck. You may want to ask your doctor about that…?
During those times when the pain was so bad, I remembered a Christian song called ‘Just Be Held’, so I would imagine myself in the arms of Jesus and allow Jesus to comfort me. Sometimes all you can do is cry out His name…Jesus…He is faithful and will hear you and comfort you.

Thank You Lord for giving Teri a night of rest. Father, may she continue to improve by Your healing hand.

Excellent advice all the way around Rosaliemary @Rosaliemary. I meant to suggest ice and totally forgot about muscle relaxers and how the right one can make all the difference.

It’s a crime that a surgery patient is no longer treated for pain. There is no war on drugs— it’s a war using drugs. Some get all they want (street drugs) in an effort to kill them and ruin lives and our country. Some get nothing (needed prescription drugs) in an effort to drive them to suicide (or at least keep them miserable) and of course, to ruin lives (livelihoods too) and our country. The people pulling the strings are absolutely sold out to evil.

:butgod: :butgod: :butgod: They have no idea who they rage against. Even though they are being used by the enemy and are willfully causing so much pain and suffering, I pray for our Father to open their hearts that they might find salvation in Christ Jesus, to the glory of His holy Name. Amen.

I just wanted to let you know that you SHOULD NOT be feeling this much pain post-op. How do I know? I had cervical fusion with disc replacement therapy 10 years ago and was back at work in 8 weeks. I don’t know if it was the same surgery or not, but obviously there is nerve impingement SOMEWHERE causing this pain. I will be praying for you and for the doctor to understand that you are still in serious pain you should NOT be in! Sending love and a hug.
