“Stand back and behold the salvation of The Lord”

Great trust building message to anchor into your heart and keep in your toolbox…or perhaps more appropriately your backpack as we are sojourners. God not only will deliver us but God knows how as evidenced in the typology.

Grateful for the message; God’s message of assurance as delivered by the messenger. God is good

Very encouraging thank you. The Bpu had left me trembling but this lifted my eyes back to the Lord. One of the things that encourages me most is poor Lot. He was hardly the greatest role model, a poor sinner saved by grace yet God did love him, did rescue him. So all of us weak believers still struggling can take heart …our great High priest is not ashamed to call us brothers ( sisters)

Thank You Pastor JD, quite frankly needed this reassurance
Thank You Lord You can and will rescue us from satan’s attacks, flesh and world. You know HOW to save us, those who are righteous in Christ Jesus. That’s our loving and capable God!
Come take us out Lord!

" When you are deeply hurt, no person on this earth can shut out the innermost fears and deepest agonies. The best of friends cannot really understand the battle you are going through or the wounds inflicted on you. Only God can shut out the waves of depression and feelings of loneliness and failure that come over you. Faith in God’s love alone can salvage the hurt mind. The bruised and broken heart that suffers in silence can be healed only by a supernatural work of the Holy Spirit, and nothing short of divine intervention really works."

In the same way that JD used examples in this message of how God delivered, I also think back about how God has been faithful to deliver me on a personal level from pain and sorrow in the past. It is proof….not only will He deliver me, but that He can and will. He works all things to the good for those who love Him. That’s you. :slightly_smiling_face:

Your brother in Christ ~

Count me in as one of those weak, weak-kneed believers. As I listened to this teaching something I’ve struggled with all of my days as a believer came to mind yet again!! . . . I know God CAN, I pray He WILL, but what am I to think/learn/understand when He doesn’t?? Seems most of the most critical (from my perspective, anyway) prayers I’ve prayed find me once again needing to cling to Romans 8:28., and questioning again whether my faith is too small. Most times now I just have to pray, “I know you can, Lord. I pray you WILL, Lord” and I pray the answer just doesn’t hurt too much

Oh Brenda sorry i am so like you. Some of the things i most needed, longed for got a distinct no. Wept fir years over one such only recently begun to realise just what our loving Father protected me from. there is a way that seemeth right to a man…that ends in death. God really does know the end from the beginning. I think of Jacob crying for his son who as far as he knew had been torn apart by fierce animals. Yet somehow that fitted into Gods perfect plan. Sounds to me not like your faith is weak but father is building your faith up , purifying refining it. God bless you Sister.

*“ And by the way, parenthetically, let me say the human DNA has the name of God in it and on it. YHWH, the tetragrammaton as we know it. The YHWH, no vowels. We say Yahweh. The name of God is on and in the human DNA because we were created in His image. *

So this is what and this is why, by the way, God had to destroy the world and the whole earth with the flood. They were damned and doomed because they were no longer human. Their bloodline, their genetics were corrupted.”

 Does anyone have further details from credible sources about the human DNA having YHWH the name of God on it /in it? It is the first time I’ve heard this assertion.

I watched the Bible study 3x & pulled this from page 7 of the transcript. I’m assuming that it is actually still okay to ask about specific items from Pastor JD’s Bible study sermons.

:grey_question: I am curious about details of Tartarus, but I’ll hold that until later. It’s only mentioned in this ONE VERSE. Probably can find answers on that after a few more hours of reading Bible commentaries. (But denoting it here for future reference, if needed. )

I came across an explanation of this earlier today in a Telegram group – not sure if I could find it again and copy it. But here is a simple graphic with the basic information that was presented there.

Thank you, @DBF. This chart is helpful. I can use these details to research the idea/concept more fully. :grinning:

I agree with Margaret, dear Brenda. We are all like that in one way or another until God shows us that His plan is best, whatever it is. Margaret and I and many others here on the forum have prayed for our daughters. The answer may have already come in way of the peace that He gives us once we surrender our hurt, pain, and disappointment in the answer not being what we want. Your faith is not too small, neither is mine or Margarets. I can only say this, I have not seen any change in their lives and have been comforted so much by the Holy Spirit that my thoughts and conversations with the Lord have changed. I have not stopped praying for them, I’m just not asking the same request anymore. It is almost as if my thoughts of them are as if I am praying for someone I don’t know. lt sounds unusual, I admit, but I can’t seem to put into words what the Lord has changed in me. As the song “Since Jesus Came Into My Heart” goes:

What a wonderful change in my life has been wrought
Since Jesus came into my heart;
I have light in my soul for which long I have sought,
Since Jesus came into my heart.

It is a new feeling, but better than a feeling. It is a life changing, attitude changing better. You will soon have this too as God ministers to you by the Holy Spirit. I will pray we (Margaret, you,I) will continue to seek His will for our lives, and those who choose to rebel, well, He will minister to them; just a little differently I suspect! A rod and staff come to mind…lol. I know, I’ve been there!

Maybe this is off topic so please, if anyone thinks it needs to be moved, let me know. Since you brought up the interest in the DNA and J.D. mentioned the corruption of it by the fallen angels, my question to him or anyone who may have an opinion, how could that be possible that angels can procreate? Are they not a created being with no sexual orientation (or whatever you want to call them)? How are they able to create life?

Not totally sure. Been thinking about the corrupted DNA discussion in last weeks sermon:

Blockquote So this is what and this is why, by the way, God had to destroy the world and the whole earth with the flood. They were damned and doomed because they were no longer human. Their bloodline, their genetics were corrupted.”

So let us look at scripture…

We know from scripture that the fallen angels took human women as they chose & had intercourse with them which created the nepalim. Genesis 6

Side note- Satan was also a fallen angel. Scripture talks about the seed of satan.
Genesis 3:15

So seed of fallen angels & human women created nepalim. These nepalim creatures were “men “ or masculine form, but not fully human. They had a corrupted DNA. Then, as nepalim procreated, any offspring they had also had corrupted DNA/ bloodline/ genetics.

Angels are always referred to in scripture in the masculine form. Angels are not human. Jesus offers salvation for humans only.

I’ll come back & post scripture references & clean up spelling error a bit later. I’m typing this on my phone around midnight .

At the moment, this is me just thinking out loud… Pastor JD discussed this a while back. I’ll search his past videos & audios tomorrow.

Thank you for your thoughts. I dont know of any scripture that fully explains why a non-human being can procreate. I am no scholar but this is something we just have to take by faith by what God does tell us.

Had a friend and ex coworker text me a few days ago, in how distraught she’s been. She told me she’s so stressed that her hair is falling out. Cries all of the time and is depressed from a man she dated and had twins from. They did things out of God’s order. Sex, babies, then she went to live with him to see if their relationship would work. She had intention on marrying him, but found out he was a demon. He lied to her, physically and emotionally abused her by being deceitful and manipulative. Now he wants to take the twins away from her and she’s been working 6 of 7 days/week to pay for attorney fees to keep her twins. Like JD always says she’s been drawing closer to God because of what she’s going through. I know she did things out of God’s order, but I can’t help feeling sorry for her. She’s a young, beautiful, naive girl that I treated like the daughter I never had. Well I took advantage of her being down and did fellowship with her. As I receiced her texts, I’d find supporting scriptures for her to ponder. My ex husband did a lot of the same things to me. I had to flee him because he was Dr. Jeckel Mr. Hyde…literally! He was so bad I ended up in a women’s shelter. Anyway, we texted back and forth for about 2 hours. She felt better afterwards and seems to be close to God’s words. At this point, she’s alone and fighting this alone. At the beginning of our texting, she was talking about killing herself and the twins, in order for him not to have them. She witnessed him whooping the male twin with a belt, at 14 months old and also he tossed him in a dark closet because the baby didn’t follow his instructions. I know my friend did things out of order, but she’s fighting for her babies. I told her I’d pray daily for her and that she must power through her trials and reminded her that God has perfect timing and that He would not let 2 innocent babies fall into the hands of a demon possessed person. She clung to every text I sent and was crying as we texted. She was on break at work and was so distraught. I felt pleased I was able to minister to my friend. Waiting for God to do what He does is hard sometimes, but I do hope and pray she ends up with them and not the father. He lives in another state also which would end my friend. Just sharing something good I was able to do for a friend. God’s word seemed to o soothe some of her pain.

Just reading up here and thought I’d recommend checking out Andy Wood’s teachings on angelology. He points out the differing views on Genesis 6:1-4 on the Nephilim and if angels actually procreated. He holds to the view that they did and he basically explains that the Bible says they do not marry but doesn’t say they don’t procreate. He also points out they can take on human form. He ties in the reason for believing they can procreate is because of Satan’s attempt to corrupt human DNA to try to have stopped the lineage line Jesus was born through. He also ties it in to the Genesis 3: 15 prophecy. It has something to do with the seed of the woman referring to his virgin birth and that he not the seed but if man which is what would’ve passed on a sinful nature.

I was also reminded of the 2 angels that visited Lot and how the evil men wanted to have sexual relations with them and Lot offered his 2 daughters instead implying the angels could’ve had relations but were not to. So that’s an interesting side bar but possibly also relevant to this.

The following are just 2 teachings of Andy’s out of 34 in his series on angelology. I admit I’ve only watched a few. But I had had the same question about angels and procreating.

He has a playlist where you’ll find the rest if you’re interested. Here’s just a snapshot of the series:
