Listened to some of that, read the headlines of the rest because it all just feels so overwhelming. Thanks for making us aware of some of what’s going on “out there”. I’m sure there’s more you didn’t list. What is the word Pastor JD has used to describe these days? Tachos? For revving up? Man, it really feels that way! I’m glad/thankful we serve an almighty God who is in control (and they don’t even know it).:pray:

@CalBride , there is no way I have so much time to look around the news, but at least I tried to put the important or essentials to know. There are other contributors also giving info here.

The word is tachu, derived from tachus. Screenshot of that verse:

Nice to see you back on the forum.
This topic has come up many times scattered through the forum.
Essentially, it is generally believed and accepted by most that all children below the age of accountability, or in the womb as life begins at conception, believing parents or not, will be raptured.

J Vernon McGee talked about this. You can still find his recorded broadcasts. I can’t find the section that has it but he believes children under the age of accountability will be taken up. His position is that age is older than many have thought. He supports his position by using the Old Testament chapters that talk about the children of Israel being numbered for battle. Tbe young men to be counted were 20 years and upward.
Interesting thought.
Also others think te age of accountability is about the age that Jewish young people would celebrate their bar mitzvah, and bat mitzvah. Ages 13 and 12.
Anyway Scripture doesn’t specifically speak of it.

Revelation 11 re: the two witnesses

8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

I have always wondered about how the mark of the beast would be used in the forehead. This article is from 2002 and explains it shockingly well. In the latter part of the article they insinuate that there is no rapture but the main part of the article gives a very detailed explanation as to why the mark of the beast is to be used in the forehead as well as in the hand…

@Pamela

@Bluebonnet (Naomi) is correct here. These are the two main trains of thought for the age of accountability.
However women were never sent into battle at any age, so that leaves them out. And young men know the difference between right and wrong long before 20.
Jewish children are brought up reading the Torah or the Pentateuch, the Hebrew and Greek names, respectively, for the first five books of the Hebrew Bible.
By the time they reach 12 - 13 they are well versed in the Jewish law and can make an intelligent decision as to follow the law or not. To sin or not.
So when a child reaches this level of accountability they transition from childhood to being fully accountable as a young adult.
Today in many Christian denominations, a child’s age of accountability can be set lower, depending on the child’s level of maturity. So many believe it is when a child can make a informed decision to accept Jesus as their Lord and savior, and they know the difference between right and wrong.

Thank you for the detailed explanation. I do lean this way as well. Also I believe that the mentally disabled, who are truly disabled are are not capable of maturing mentally to be able to live on their own or make decisions will go in the Rapture.
As a side note I have been acquainted with young children who are very mature for their age and understand the difference of right and wrong. Some sadly seem to have chosen the path of wrong and i wonder how much their mind is able to process the implications of their choices.

All so very true. The mentally disabled can not always make the distinction between right and wrong, or understand the long term consequences of their actions.

I have seen this too.
Modern medicine has discovered that the human brain is the last organ to fully mature in a person at 21 years of age.

Yes and yet what contradiction of our society to place certain responsibilities and expectations on young people who aren’t mature enough to make the right choices.
So easily brainwashed into the wrong path. Ie " my body my choice " Sex education at age 5…and so it goes. :pensive::pensive::pensive:

So sad. Eyes wide shut. I’m praying God will make His displeasure known about this event in a BIG, unmistakable way! Maybe some, or many, will have their eyes opened.

Chapter 37

1 (A Psalm of David.) Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.

2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.

10 For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.

11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

12 The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.

13 The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.

14 The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation.

15 Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.

16 A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.

17 For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth the righteous.

18 The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.

19 They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

20 But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.

21 The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.

22 For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.

23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.

24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.

25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

26 He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.

27 Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.

28 For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

29 The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.

30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.

31 The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.

32 The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.

33 The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.

34 Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.

35 I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.

36 Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.

37 Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.

38 But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.

39 But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble.

40 And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.
