This is the most heart touching story that I have read in a long time.
Jim preaches at a church in the slums of New York. He tells the following story:

It was Easter Sunday, and I was so tired at the end of the day that I just went to the edge of the platform, pulled down my tie and sat down and draped my feet over the edge. It was a wonderful service with many people coming forward. The counselors were talking with these people.

As I was sitting there, I looked up the middle aisle, and there in about the third row was a man who looked about fifty, disheveled, filthy. He looked up at me rather sheepishly, as if saying, “Could I talk to you?” We have homeless people coming in all the time, asking for money or whatever. So, as I sat there, I said to myself, though I am ashamed of it, “What a way to end a Sunday. I’ve had such a good time, preaching and ministering, and here’s a fellow probably wanting some money for more wine.”

He walked up. When he got within about five feet of me, I smelled a horrible smell like I’d never smelled in my life. It was so awful that when he got close, I would inhale by looking away, and then I’d talk to him, and then look away to inhale, because I couldn’t inhale facing him.

I asked him, “What’s your name?” “David.” “How long have you been on the street?” “Six years.” “How old are you?” “Thirty-two.” He looked fifty—hair matted, front teeth missing, wino, eyes slightly glazed. “Where did you sleep last night, David?” “Abandoned truck.”

I keep in my back pocket a money clip that also holds some credit cards. I fumbled to pick one out thinking, I’ll give him some money.

I won’t even get a volunteer. They are all busy talking with others. Usually we don’t give money to people; we take them to get something to eat. I took the money out. David pushed his finger in front of me. He said, “I don’t want your money. I want this Jesus, the One you were talking about, because I’m not going to make it.

I’m going to die on the street.”

I completely forgot about David, and I started to weep for myself. I was going to give a couple of dollars to someone God had sent to me. See how easy it is? I could make the excuse I was tired. There is no excuse. I was not seeing him the way God sees him. I was not feeling what God feels.

But oh, did that change! David just stood there. He didn’t know what was happening. I pleaded with God, “God, forgive me! Forgive me! Please forgive me. I am so sorry to represent You this way. I’m so sorry. Here I am with my message and my points, and You send somebody and I am not ready for it. Oh, God!”

Something came over me. Suddenly I started to weep deeper, and David began to weep. He fell against my chest as I was sitting there. He fell against my white shirt and tie, and I put my arms around him, and there we wept on each other. The smell of His person became a beautiful aroma. Here is what I thought the Lord made real to me: If you don’t love this smell, I can’t use you, because this is why I called you where you are. This is what you are about. You are about this smell.

Christ changed David’s life. He started memorizing portions of Scripture that were incredible. We got him a place to live. We hired him in the church to do maintenance, and we got his teeth fixed.

He was a handsome man when he came out of the hospital. They detoxed him in 6 days.

He spent that Thanksgiving at my house. He also spent Christmas at my house. When we were exchanging presents, he pulled out a little thing, and he said, “This is for you.” It was a little white hanky. It was the only thing he could afford.

A year later, David got up and talked about his conversion to Christ. The minute he took the mic and began to speak, I said, “The man is a preacher.” This past Easter, we ordained David. He is an associate minister of a church over in New Jersey.

And I was so close to saying, “Here, take this; I’m a busy preacher.” We can get so full of ourselves.

Lord, thank you for sending others our way. May we never stop seeing them as Your precious children no matter how busy or tired we become. Amen

Stacy - this made me cry and cry to the Lord for forgiveness and mercy - I am a sinner saved by grace the man above has been adopted into Gods family just as we all have and I pray for humility that God would use us to bring others to the saving grace of Jesus. Thank you for this story to remind me of many things. Blessing and peace to you and your family until our Blessed Assurance returns for us - MARANATHA

Absolutely love this! People judge and are uncomfortable with the odd ones out. I’m one of those for sure. I love, love, love this. Psalm 139 speaks about a mans hearts and thoughts being in complete knowledge of Abba. Even those hidden things we don’t know of ourselves. How awesome that our Creator and Daddy God knows us so well, and orchestrates such interactions…in order to build His church. There is no one like Abba Yahweh and Yeshua our God and King. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::heart_eyes::yum:

From The Epoch Times

The CDC quietly released a statement announcing the start of its Traveler-based Genomic Surveillance program. While the program was first introduced during the pandemic specifically to screen for COVID-19, this announcement from the CDC informs us that it they are now expanding the program to test for other viruses as well.

“The expansion of the Traveler-based Genomic Surveillance program to flu, RSV, and other pathogens is essential as we head into fall respiratory season. The TGS program, which began during the COVID-19 pandemic, acted as an early warning system to detect new and rare variants of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and will do the same for other respiratory viruses going forward,” the CDC said.

In total, the program has been expanded to screen for over 30 different pathogens. According to the CDC, the way that this program will be implemented in airports across the country will be three-fold: it will involve taking nasal swabs of arriving passengers, testing the aircraft wastewater, and testing samples of the wastewater in seven major airports.

So, they will pay people to test the refuse in the toilet, in order to hunt sick people down? Umm…they already make up data to blame the virus, so them testing such a large array of toileting from a larger group of toiletees is bound to find people in every plane with covid or other things. Very big waste of cdc money. How is this helpful but to prevent people from traveling on airplanes. I read they are increasing surveillance on temperatures of people in airports. I believe in an European country.

Eileen, thanks!
This is flawed. The EU and other countries have common understandings between them about travel allowances, passport requirements, medications acceptable to enter another country, etc… If the required nose swabs are done by these countries on INCOMING passengers, then they are allowing “pathogens” to circulate in the air system, infecting anyone who has a compromised immune system, making for a ripe environment to quarantine large numbers of people. (Think Australia camps) Selective additives mysteriously added to the cabin air vents becoming aerosols is an easy for them. Aerosols have been tested more than once in New York Subway systems to find out the efficiency of spread in a given time of exposure.
We know they need millions gone from existence pronto. As @Lgreen pointed out there would be a fear of air travel helping to further a national level of compartmentalized people.

Blessings

I know this is a kind of old thread to be posting in but it has the best title.

So midday Tuesday our cheery old sol the sun spit out a near X-class fare. It was so close you can say X-class and still be right. It was measured at 9.8 M-class. It also had a subsequent CME it spit out as well. That will be here late Thursday night into early Friday morning by best solar observatory estimates. That means if you live north of say 45, 46, or 47 degrees latitude you have an awesome chance to may see some pretty spectacular auroras in the over Thursday night time.

Now there is something I have noticed over the years which is when we start seeing increased solar activity that is earth directed we will see a short time later a burst of geological activity as in quakes and volcanic activity. Well we already have some volcanos once again active as in the one in Iceland and the other in Italy’s Mt. Etna. And lest we forget Kilauea on the Big Island is acting up now as well. So I am looking for either some new volcanic activity say in the Aleutian chain or maybe easter Russia on Kamchatka peninsula or it could just be a sizeable quake. We had a recent 7 pointer in the Northern Mariannas and a fair amount of activity along the plate boundry running south out of Turkey into the eastern African rift valley region. In fact South Africa had a low moderate quake in the past week. But the more likely regions are of course the ring of fire around the Pacific rim as well as another faily active region which is the NE side of the Caribbean near to Haiti to Puerto Rica. But since the Icelandic volcano has awaken again that fracture zone runs the length of the Atlantic to near Antarctica so anywhere along that line is also possible.

I only say this given the list of signs given in Mathew 24, speifically the earthquakes in diverse places. If my theory has any validity to it then with the strong influx of solar energy there will likely be at least one strong release of it in the form of a quake or volcano. That is a pattern I have seen develop over the past half decade or so. It is not a perfect match of energy in, energy released but often enough to be worth watching. This is likely to be a fairly good amount of energy in so it may well be a somewhat amount of release. After all nature as God created it seems to perfer a nice equalibrium and this old planet can hold only so much energy before it dumps it out in some form.

So looking to around a week and a half to two weeks from now don’t be overly surprised if we get another Turkey quake level bit of news somewhere on the planet. Hopefully it will not like the 2004 Indonesian Christmas quake or the 2011 Tohoku quake in Japan both with significant follow up tsunamis. But my best estimations is something in the range of say a 7.5 to maybe an 8.3 or another explosive eruption like the Tonga-Hunga Ha’apai eruption and subsequent tsunami of 2022.

What ever happens, we can put another notch in the prophecy bedpost list of signs.
