On Friday past, My two small grandsons were to spend the night. Their step-grandfather, along with three brothers, all veterans, would be going on an Honor Flight to Washington DC. They would leave before sunrise on Saturday morning, joining other aged veterans making the trip, accompanied to the airport by a parade of 171 motorcycles, police escorts, and fire trucks! Each of the four brothers would carry a picture of one of their four veteran brothers who have passed away. Eight brothers from the same family who had served there country! My daughter in law and son wanted to attend the celebration to see them off. The boys, aged seven and four were to stay with over night with “Poo and Aiya” so that they needn’t be rousted out of bed at “zero dark thirty.”
My head was filled with thoughts of honoring these aging veterans, and wars past, and rumors of war, As I stopped by the Dollar General to pick up hot dog rolls.
There, much to my surprise, I discovered an entire aisle already decked out for Christmas! That, right next to the Halloween aisle!! Seemed a perfect metaphor for the battle raging all around us in these last days.
Listening to the update today I thought again of the devil’s work in creating the great divide. . . Stoking the flames of hatred . . . Killing the innocent . . . Poisoning minds like they used to poison the water . . My heart is just so weary and broken . . . the fatigue of war, it seems.
After dinner I picked up a Christmas book catalogue which had arrived in my mailbox. I read descriptions of Christmas books new this season. One was a fictional tale which centered around the story of Longfellow’s 1863 poem, “Christmas Bells”. Curious, I did some digging. I hope that what I discovered may be a blessing and an encouragement! And may it be another reminder that Christ, our Savior has come! Christ, by his Holy Spirit is HERE. And Christ, our Lion of Judah WILL come again! And at last there will be lasting peace on earth!

I wish…I wish we could coordinate all the churches across America to ring their church bells on the same day, at the same time or some such, in celebration and glory to God our father (And to make a little noise), and as a call to repentance. Is that even possible?

Staying in the Word of God and resting in the grace of God in Christ has a wonderful way of cleansing us of the very worst of this present kosmos-cracy, if you’ll pardon my coining the term.

Oh my goodness! I DIDNT KNOW there was a movie coming out about that very thing! God’s timing is . . . Well. . . Amazing! I hope I’ll get to check it out, but I live in a rural area and usually these movies released for only a few days aren’t shown anywhere near me. Thanks for sharing that!

You want to involve the churches who are not giving God the glory by ignoring that we are living in the endtimes? What do you expect from the bells ringing if the churches itself dont repent what they are saying against the word of God?
I am sorry but it is over. Most churches in the world are living in the world and advertising to get the poison shot. Its on us to ring the bell! Everyone of us has a voice and can share the gospel.

I have the same with “called friends”.
They are not.
