Amen dear sister @GR! You got this! May God’s blessings be upon you and all who are there with you in your classes each week.
Our time is short! God bless you! Maranatha!

Well, Sister @GR, how did your first Revelation class go? I’m praying for you and yours and for those in your classes. It’s looking more and more like we may not even be here by this next Monday’s class. May God Bless and Be With You All, In Jesus’ Name, Amen… Maranatha!!
Joe
Hey Joe @joehuguenard,
Thanks for asking! I appreciate your and everyone’s support and prayers. Please keep praying; our timing is not our Father’s. IF we are still here next week, I’ll be in class again. Here’s my (journal entry) report.
My first class… not one person came. On the bright side, I’m one presentation ahead of schedule!
Because I felt led to do this and had several affirmations that I was walking in obedience, I was expecting at least one person. Because I know we have so little time left here AND I was called to teach this class, I was expecting at least one person. Things that make you go Hmmm.
I will go again next week if we are still here. I will go again the week after that IF we are still here—which I really doubt and totally hope we are not.
Perhaps this calling had nothing to do with a person coming to my class. Maybe no one will ever come to this class. Maybe it was for another purpose. I don’t know. I do know that I’m not discouraged and my only explanation is that I know God is in control.
On my way home the radio station I listen to asked for people to call in with what they’re grateful for. I called in and gave a brief account of the situation (if you can imagine me giving a brief anything, lol!).
I’m grateful, no matter what, that God is in control. I’m grateful I obeyed His call. When we believe we are doing our Father’s will, we usually have expectations. I was sure there would be one person in my class. There wasn’t… but I know that doesn’t mean the class was, or is, or will be a failure.
I have been called to a task in the past — and excused myself out of obedience. I missed opportunity to obey my God and have suffered much regret. Though I know it’s not me, but Christ in me, I’m thankful I heeded this call. And I know God will use today because His Word will not return void.
ALL glory to our great God!
Understood dear sister @GR… But God!
I’ve been posting scripture daily on Mewe for the past several years and hardly anyone ever reads or acknowledges any of them.
I know exactly what you mean and, like you said, God is in control and is having me post those scriptures none the less.
Hopefully, someone is eventually saved by having God’s word there for them when God leads them to it.
God Bless and be with you always, Sis!
Joe
Remember this from the 70’s
It’s what we do when we occupy until he comes. What I remind myself of when I set up a tent with flags speaking beautiful truths, only to have people more interested in the soft pretzels next door.
But somehow at least one person is encouraged in the process. The person you encouraged was me.
Consider getting more notice of the class out to the public. Make up flyers that can be posted on public message boards like a library if allowed, Post Office, or if local stores will allow a post on their window like at a Christian Book store…etc…etc…
Keep your chin up and we will keep praying.
Thanks for the support, feedback, and your prayers, Ken. Much needed and much appreciated. Did have a flyer (not so eye-catching) at the Library and local radio (morning and evening jockeys) have been advertising.
I don’t notice/really look at flyers so didn’t put much stock in them. Thought the one at the Library and local radio would be enough. Guess God wants flyers, lol.
I really like the green background one and will ask the Library to put that one up. My first flyer didn’t have the grab ya vibe. The Library has the old flyer at a big kid’s eye level (go figure)…maybe the kids will notice the green one and show their moms. I’ll make a couple of each of the three and ask other businesses to display.
Someone here on the forum has sent awesome (well-made & beautiful) Bible carriers with notebooks and amazing book marks to nestle Bibles in. I figured people would need a “text book” if they didn’t have one.
I’m struggling with advertising “freebies” (that sounds so coarse and unloving, but I’m tired and better wording escapes me). I’ve prayed about this but gotten no feedback, clear or otherwise. If you have an opinion, I’d appreciate you sharing. Anybody who reads this, please chime in! I’ll print the flyers in the morning.
Tony @SkyTheSheepdog, I know you’re otherwise occupied, but IF you see this— Whaduya think?
Have a great day, Ken— and again, many thanks! Gotta get moving!

Oh my goodness, Tony @SkyTheSheepdog,
This reminds me of the old Levis posters that I loved so well! Thanks for the colorful encouragement and the trip down memory lane!

Consider the following for your posters, you have done a great job as is:
Place more than one of each of the poster’s side by side.
For the green poster add Bible in there somewhere and revealed instead of imagined …or Both.
Then you have a start time of 1:00 PM, you might want to add an end time like 2:00 PM to all of them, with discussion afterward, or however long you’re going to run your class.
For the second poster add, come explore your free gift, it’s your future. See what the Bible says about the end of days that we are now living in.
The red poster: Add…sooner than you think when you least expect it.
Possibly find a clock that is one min. to midnight, like the Doomsday Clock - Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists

Don’t stress about them until the time comes. I would not say anything about freebies until you get a class or “meeting” up and running for a while. Otherwise people will grab the freebies and take off.
Last thing since you are advertising to the public outside of a church setting. Expect some strange, strong-willed, (Psych) people to possibly show up, wanting to add their own two cents in that is non-biblical. Like from the Book of Mary or the Book of Judas. Or with some other crazy interpretation of something that you are teaching.
Years ago now, I had that happen in a CHURCH setting of 20 or so. It can kind of through you off when it suddenly happens. For me, oh gosh, I did not want to hurt their feelings in front of everyone, so I had to stop to explain to everyone about all the “stuff”, the “junk” that is out there and how we had to be careful; that we had to stick to the Bible only as our source of truth. It does not always go over well.
As always have fun.
Morning Ken @YosemiteMountainMan,
As ever, you give sound advice. I could have added a quote of your whole post! THANK YOU for all the suggestions! I am making changes now.
Gotta get busy or I’d write more— we all know I can, lol.

To say that they’re awesome would be an understatement. LOVE THEM. Absolutely!
Well, now I have to sign back into MeWe so I can be encouraged by your daily scriptures. People are reading them, that I am sure of. Keep being faithful to God’s Word and share it like there are a million people reading them. There will be testimony of this in the future. God is dealing with people in this day and time, and many are sold cold spiritually that it takes a little bit of time to warm them up…lol.
Thank you dear sister Carol @Flamingogirl49563 and God Bless you!
Unfortunately, I’ve missed the past 5-6 days or so of scripture posts because of being chased away from the Hurricane Milton storm.
All of my materials for Bible posting is on my desktop at home and I’m on the road and won’t be back until this coming Monday or Tuesday.
There are definitely several years worth of scripture postings there, though, even though it’s not caught up to the current day.
If anyone is reading them, they’re not acknowledged much by leaving comments or emogees.
I’ll be back soon to catch it up and continue on until our great hope takes us home.
Maranatha, and God Bless Us All Dear Brothers and Sisters!
Joe
