There is some concern that the US may stupidly involve us in this mix. The USS Gerald R Ford is moving into position in the eastern Med. It is the flag ship of a fleet of cruisers, destroyers, support ships and even submarines. There is a secondary smaller fleet based on the flag ship the USS Mesa Verde is also very close by with a significant Marine MEU unit and support for ground action.
