Mr.Stone often reminds us that he has “over ten thousand hours of studying the Bible.”
That does not make me more apt to believe whatever he teaches; rather it has made me scrutinize his teachings more. I seldom listen to him anymore. Just my observation, since his name has come up in discussion of late.

I think it can mean both and still be correct. We see the falling away now through many denominations who through their traditions and false teaching of man have fallen, and are falling away. And then we have the Rapture that will define who was right, as many denominations will be left behind to endure the 7-year tribulation.

I just base my opinion on the clear text. We don’t have to agree. I’m longing for the Rapture too! I just find it a little odd that at the same time we are debating the meaning or translation here, there are some saying the Daniel 9:27 covenant is being prepared at the UN. That would of course mean the AntiChrist is soon to be revealed.
Now of course, I don’t believe any of that but I just thought it strange.

Yes Ken, good point. I have considered this too brother. Formerly i lean toward a bulk midpoint focus from the getgo. The falling away to me refers to the midpoint. But to offer a weakness in that (although not a huge one), there would seem to be a huge falling away in the 5th seal. But that is 6 trumpets and a seal away from AC midpoint in my view. Time wise, the 5th seal seems a good “fallout” proper point of application. However typically scholars reference it as closer to the AC having a groundswell of falling out to rise to power. I don’t think it has to for him to do that. But the “reveal” to me would be for AC demanding worship…for then it woud be clear. If it is at the beginning of the trib, who is the man of lawlessness being revealed to? Will the church see this?
On a complemntary note Ken, i could actually see it serve perhaps for both, now and at the midpoint…all meaning both in what is presented at the beginning of the trib point in 2 Thes 2 apparent. In that sense, what we are seeing in the church would be perhaps the baby faint shadow of what in the trib will be outright horrific in all manner in comparison to what we are seeing in the church for example today perhaps. But its also good i think. Some might just see it as hype and bad doctrine applied. I look at the UN thing as a helpful thing. Of course people may point and say…see…its nothing. And mock. But we in our age are going to mock anyway. Mind as well be over something that gets attention and could be opporutnity to help people go, “Wait, what?” And then a chance to prepare if they care. Like a headsup.
For example, my intro to youtube was Mandella Effect. So i was thinking wow we are already in the tribulation…welcome to youtube. Once i got over that, I could see how things are messed up. It brought me though to further end time interest…having come from a church where we thought nothing of end times for our day…we just focused on ministry. So it was a culture shock.
Another example of that is Erdogan in Turkey. I saw a report in 2017 that he was known as being some kind of healer in Turkey and some thought he might be god. I thought, “What? There is no way the world would accept that guy as some powerfully spiritual guru.” What i do remember though at that moment was, after scratching my head, “Lord, are we in end times? Because it does not seem like that. But am I missing something? How could reports like this even matter? Are you trying to get our attention with stuff like that?”

Yeah, I was referring to the UN 7 year peace plan as being the Daniel 9:27 covenant. That of course is speculation not based on reality so it does not go against any sound doctrine.
Fact is the UN has not been successful in any of its goals like reducing extreme poverty by 2015. After this failure they moved the proverbial goal posts to 2030.

Yes…this is what people are forgetting!
It will be outright horrific right from the get go at the opening of the first seal, and there will be no mistaking it because we will be gone, and the restrainer removed. All hades will brake out on earth.
I would predict that many who are left behind will return to the Bible in great fear.
Those who are left behind, but have the knowledge to understand it, will recognize the AC as soon as he approves the 7-year peace pact with Israel.
That will be his give away, but most will not believe it at first due to his popularity, because he will have all the logical answers to quell their fears.
Then at the three and a half year mark he will turn on everyone demanding to be worshiped, and to take the mark of the beast, or die by beheading.
As a side bar:
It truly cracks me up when I hear people suggest that some will go out kicking and screaming when they are raptured.
It does not matter if you are pre-trib, mid-trib, pre-wrath or post trib.
What will count, will be if you are a Born Again new creation in Christ at the first resurrection / rapture.
You will go in a nanosecond. You will not be able to react.
You will hear the trumpet call of God, and be in His presence in the clouds in your new resurrected body. And so we will be with our Lord forever.
The trumpet is about to sound. Don’t be left behind.
